The Montgomery County Commission for Women and our many co-sponsoring organizations invite you to the 2017 Women's Legislative Briefing.The purpose of the Briefing is to inform the residents of our state about legislative proposals before local, state, and national legislative bodies that address issues of specific concern to women.

For co-sponsoring organizations that opt to participate, the President's Networking Session will be held from 11 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. with check-in at 10:30 a.m. The purpose of the networking session is to provide our sponsors an opportunity to learn about the work of other organizations committed to issues concerning women and families. Our hope is that this event will assist us all in identifying community partners addressing the same issues or implementing similar projects.

The Montgomery County Commission for Women has established a tuition scholarship to support a high achieving student at Montgomery College who is pursuing a major in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM). Please consider supporting this worthy cause when registering for the WLB.

General registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. The conference will open with a plenary session, followed by compelling seminars on upcoming local, state and federal legislation.

Again this year: special seminars will be offered for students in grades 7 - 12 through our Emerging Leaders track.

A networking reception will once close the event. The reception provides an opportunity to meet with county and state elected officials, advocates and representatives of the most prominent county, state, and national women's organizations.

Regular Registration: $30.00 in advance $40.00 at the door
